ABOUT THE DAS AWKSCHT FESCHT
Das Awkscht Fescht — “The August Festival” — has been a summer tradition since 1964, “influenced in name and flavor by the Pennsylvania German culture found in Macungie.”It is one of the largest antique and classic motor vehicle shows east of the Mississippi River, and has for years been operated by the Ontelaunee Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America.
The show is held at — and benefits — Macungie Memorial Park, which is owned and operated by a nonprofit association that receives no tax dollars.
